Does anyone study the Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UC or ANU?

What has been your experience with it?

ie:
  • A positive or negative experience?
  • Good lecturers?
  • Anything else to note

Thanks!

hi, i'm doing psychology in ANU. i'm only in my second year, so can't say i have much experience, especially since i'm doing it as part of a double degree. i would say ANU psychology is good, we have pretty decent lecturers, but to admit it's all very theoretical. i would very much prefer a place that has some practical application. however, if you like research this is probably the place for you. learn lots of research techniques and stuff, so there's the good and bad from me. hope it helps. :)

Undergraduate psychology is definitely very theoretical. If you plan to do honours or further research it's a good place to start. If you want to get a degree that will lead you to a psychology based job, personally I found it got me nowhere. If you want a generic degree to get a public service job, it's all right. Having said that doing honours vastly increases your job readiness.
